Carbon Highwall Mining is a producer of coal for the power generation markets in eastern and central United States. They are also a large provider of metallurgical coal, used in making steel. The company was established in 2004 and is owned and operated by a group of coal executives with diversified coal mining experience. With the multiple services provided to the coal industry, Carbon Highwall Mining has provided over 50 jobs to the areas of Kentucky and Virginia. The employees are assured the highest safety standards because of the use of state of the art equipment that works above ground.

Currently, Carbon Highwall Mining has one mining operation with United Coal, outside of Pikeville, Kentucky.  The mine is producing an average of 25,000 raw tons on a monthly basis.
